The wide range of remarkable art works offers precious Chinese porcelains mainly of the Qing dynasty among which are objects with sophisticated powder blue glaze and appealing blue-and-white porcelains. The pair of blue glazed parrots in Kangxi style is particularly charming. Chinese art is further highlighted by bronzes, like a gilt bronze figure of a Guanyin made in the Ming dynasty, elaborate crafted jades, and an exquisitely carved cinnabar lacquer box of the late Ming dynasty. The distinct group of Chinese paintings of the 19th and 20th centuries is completed by a very delicate painting by the well-known painter Qian Luxin, dated to the year 1942. The art of Japan is represented by outstanding works of Meiji period lacquer art, bronzes, and selected porcelains of which the Arita porcelain plate with a fine décor in gold lacquer is particular rare. This piece was made for the European export market in the 18th century. Among the beautiful selection of Tibetan art are Thangkas and gilt bronze figures among them an impressive model of a stupa made in the late 18th/19th century. Of particular interest for connoisseurs of Indian art is an early 20th century Pichwai with the depiction of Annakut.
