Antique & Modern Jewellery

The July Antique & Modern Jewellery auction continues a bountiful summer of beautiful jewellery here at Fellows. Our front cover sets the tone for the sale, featuring two eye-catching statement rings. Lot 440 is an Art Deco platinum sapphire and diamond cluster ring, with an estimate of £5,000 - 8,000. Of geometric design, the central cabochon sapphire has no heat treatment, and is surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds and calibre-cut sapphires. Completing the cover is lot 174, a diamond single-stone ring with a weight of 8.02 carats. This impressive piece has the estimate of £25,000-30,000. If big diamonds appeal, lot 137 is another single-stone diamond ring to note, weighing in excess of 5 carats, certified as VS1 clarity and K colour, with the guide price of £25,000-35,000. Our back cover showcases lot 365, an iconic 'Magic Alhambra' necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels. Set with a series of quatrefoil-shape white and grey mother-of-pearl, and delicately banded chalcedony, the necklace is 128.5cms long and is offered at £12,000-18,000. Also included are a pair of Bulgari 'Parentesi' rings. Seeking design inspiration from Roman architecture, these rings are style staples with the estimates of £240-340 each.
