Antique & Modern Jewellery

Welcome to our September Antique & Modern Auction. This sale, we have an impressive selection of diamonds, coveted designer items and intriguing antique pieces. Our Art Deco styled front cover includes lots 123 and 473, two geometric diamond and gem-set rings with estimates of £550-750 and £1,800-2,500 respectively. The cover is completed with lots 544 and 555, an elegant jabot pin and cigarette case estimated at £2,000-3,000 and £1,200-1,800. Turning to our back cover, lot 386 is a diamond necklace by Tiffany & Co. displaying over ten carats of diamonds and has the estimate of £25,000-35,000. The stylish design includes kite-shape diamond clusters spaced by delicate foliate links. Completing the duo of designer necklaces, lot 387 is another Tiffany & Co. example with approximately twenty carats of diamonds and a guide price of £20,000-30,000. This necklace boasts three rows of brilliant-cut diamonds, a striking alternative to the classic diamond rivière. Further diamonds to note include lot 196. This impressive five carat diamond ring has been certified as J colour, VS2 clarity and estimated at £40,000-50,000. Plate three also features lot 204, a 4.03 carats fancy yellow diamond cluster ring, with a report stating that the diamond is a natural colour and internally flawless. This beautiful ring has the guide price of £10,000-15,000. Coloured gemstone rings that are too good to miss include lot 40, a Burmese pink sapphire and diamond cluster ring with an estimate of £800-1,200. If emeralds are more to your personal taste, lot 259 is a Colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring with minor clarity enhancement and the guide price of £1,200-1,800. We hope you enjoy browsing our September offering, and we look forward to welcoming you to our viewing events at our Birmingham saleroom and our new Mayfair office.
