Vintage Jewellery & Accessories

With our September auction we are starting to feel autumnal but there is a part of us that is still clinging onto summer with some colourful designer Scandinavian enamel pieces, by David Andersen, Aksel Holmsen and Ivar Holth, starting from lot 685. If you're a fan of Scandinavian jewellery, we also have some stunning Georg Jensen pieces from lot 706. From the very first lot, this sale will grab your attention with some spectacular Georgian and Victorian memorial jewellery. Two pieces that will most definitely prove popular with bidders are lot 92, an early 20th century 15ct gold turquoise pendant/brooch, of classic Murrle Bennett design. Also lot 93, a gem-set Arts and Crafts brooch attributed to Gaskin, for a further look into the life and works of Gaskin, look at the blog on our website. Finally, I feel compelled to mention two stand-out pieces, a Scottish cuff and armlet, lots 233 and 234. The armlet is definitely made for someone with the stature resembling a Scottish warrior, with its inner diameter measuring nearly 12cms and weighing a hefty 900gms.
