September Fine Arts & Collectibles Sale

Our September auction features some exciting works of art from private collections, as well as an interesting group of antique and vintage compasses, jewelry, silver, a fine pair of Russian enameled salts retailed by Tiffany & Co., a Rolex Explorer II wristwatch, a fine 18th century Gandharan terra cotta stele, an Italian specimen top table, and a fine men's wristwatch by Cuervo y Sobrinos. Notable artworks include three watercolors attributed to Paul Gauguin from the same private collection as a piece we sold previously which has subsequently been authenticated and resold at Sotheby's in Paris earlier this year. Four James Abbott McNeill Whistler attributed watercolors are also included and come from the same private collection as a Whistler watercolor offered by Sotheby's, NYC, in 1999. An extremely rare early gouache attributed to Francis Bacon is a sale highlight along with a Renoir-attributed plaster sculpture. Other names included in this sale: works attributed to Otto Mueller, Gustav Klimt, Fernand Leger, Claude Monet, Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh, and others. Please join us for this exciting auction!
