MOSBY & CO. FALL SALE

Proudly presents our fall auction of antiques in many categories. The sale is headlined by a large collection of over 200 Circus Posters from 1908 to 1998; there are also Minstrel Show, Play Bill and other posters along with 50 original Sideshow Banners. Many of the posters came from the first museum dedicated to entertainment in the US ? Coney Island?s own Museum of American Recreation, created by famed carnival ride inventor and manufacturer William F. Mangels. More posters came from the Henderson Music Hall and Tavern on Surf Ave, another Coney Island landmark and the Vaudeville Theatre where the public first saw the Marx Bros. perform in 1907. In our Americana section there are wonderful folk art carvings including three 19th Century Eagles. A small group of Black memorabilia helps round out this part of the sale.
