Autograph letter signed (ALS) from the Italian-German composer Ferruccio Busoni (1866-1924) to Herr Haut, written in German, signed and dated Zurich, 14 F. (February) 1916, at bottom, ink on paper, 15 lines of text, visible sheet measures 9 x 7.5 inches, matted and framed with a reproduction of a famous watercolor painting of Busoni, frame measures 21.25 x 13.75 inches. Busoni was a famous Classical music composer, pianist and teacher. Born in Empoli, Italy he moved to Germany in 1914 at the peak of his career. Once Italy entered the war in 1915 he was forced to flee to neutral Zurich, Switzerland. He remained there until the end of the war when he returned to Germany.
Condition
