Description
Beuys, after Joseph (German, 1921-1986), Filzpostkarte and Holzpostkarte [Felt Postcard and Wood Postcard], multiples from the open edition published by Edition Staeck, Heidelberg, with 69117 address, that began production in 1985, however these two were most likely printed in the 21st century, Felt postcard with white screenprinted text and lines measures 4.2 x 6 inches and .25 inches thick, Wood postcard with black screenprinted text and lines measures 3.75 x 6 inches, and 1.25 inches thick. A pair of Beuys' most famous works from his prolific postcard series. No two are exactly alike -- the felt pattern and wood grain are unique to each piece. SCHELLMANN 539 and 104 (open edition).
Condition
