Angers, France, late 19th/early 20th century, running swine model, with tongue lolling to one side and glass eyes, wearing a red saddle blanket and knotted green ribbons around his tail and neck, unsigned, approximately 26 x 60 in. - Note: Gustave Bayol (French, working 1895-1931) was the foremost carver of carousel animals and was known for his carvings of farm animals found in the French countryside. - Provenance: Private Collection, Aiken, South Carolina
