This lot consists of two items, an intimately scaled, unsigned, unnumbered, mid twentieth century, black and white, limited edition gravure after the impressionist painting, The Yellow House (The Street) (1888) by Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853-1890), and an oil on canvas that was painted by Elisee Maclet (French, 1881 - 1962). This item first is framed and matted. This work has a sticker from Christie's affixed to the back of the frame. This print is believed to be around 100 years old. The second item was painted for a benefactor of Maclet and contains her name and "homage a Van Gogh" verso.
The oil painting: 9.5 x 12 inches canvas. The print: 11.5 x 13.5 inches framed; 5x6 inches sight.
