New England Clock Co., Bristol, Conn., "Cigar Box" cottage clock, pine case, painted metal dial and arrow form hands, 30 hour, time only spring driven brass movement, c1855

Mahogany veneered pine case has been stripped of its finish, small veneer loss at the front lower right and top left corner of door and on side left lower rear corner, original painted dial has darkened with some stains and loss at the mounting screws and winding arbor. Original arrow form hands and very importantly, a good, original decalcomania tablet. Overall clean label inside with small flaking areas throughout. These are not common and probably only made about one year.
