Two Early 20th Century Pieces of Santo Domingo Pueblo Pottery
1920s, exhibiting classic traits of this pueblo: neck interior red-slipped with a black rim, stone polished body, base with red band rag-wiped; design of birds separated by a single tall flower. Potters during this time period did not sign their work.
Jar 7 1/2 in.; Ewer 8 1/4 in.
Note the ceremonial breaks to the black lines.
