American, early 20th century, opalescent white tulip form with ruffled rim, green pulledÿleaf decoration, gold iridescent stretch interior, signed "Quezal" and "P398", 5-1/2 x 5-3/4 in. - Provenance: Minna Rosenblatt Ltd. New York, NY, purchased September 1973 for $725 (accompanied by copy of receipt); Estate of Jay R. Doros, Springfield, New Jersey - Note: This compote was included in the exhibition "Flights of Fancy: The Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company" at the Museum of American Glass at Wheaton Village, Millville, New Jersey, April 13 through October 20, 1996, curated by Gay LeCleire Taylor. This piece is illustrated in the exhibition catalog on page 11, fig. 15, no. 3.
