Description

Colin Gibson, corporate commissioned bronze sculpture on plinth, "We are one". Appraised value $125,000 CA. Signed. Dimensions, 6.75’ x 8.4’ x 2.25’ feet. Colin Gibson studied at L'Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montreal (1970), and then worked as a commercial artist. After decades of successful commercial work, Gibson was invited In the fall of 2000 to submit designs for a proposed veteran's memorial in Courseulles-sur-Mer, France. His bronze sculpture "Remembrance and Renewal" was unveiled at the Juno Beach Centre on June 6th, 2003. The piece preserves the memory of the fallen, and provides hope for world peace. The monumental sculpture offered here is a fitting prelude to the Juno Beach installation.
