Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Zitan inlaid jade screen. A Chinese nephrite jade table screen with zitan hardwood bottom base carved calligraphy by the Qianlong emperor's hand. The table screen is made of white jade in a thick square form, delicate with five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames and vapors, with face and upper right appendage outstretched toward the heavens. Vigorous dragons chasing flaming pearl. All supported with tall zitan hardwood stand carved with scrolling ruyi and Auspicious motif. The Elaborately carved zitan hardwood frame perfectly accentuates this work of art. This screen has an opulent, even hue of green. Its fine lines and exquisite carving make it worth collecting.
