Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Chenghua Blue and white Iron Red dragon porcelain lidded censer. Potted in a tripod censer shape, globular body, heavy on mid belly, round opening mouth lip, with dome lid finial bud, and the whole piece is raised three short tripod legs. This censer in blue, red and white fine color, is an excellent object on exterior with five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames and vapors, with face and upper right appendage outstretched toward the heavens. Vigorous dragons chasing flaming pearl amidst flames against cobalt blue color scrolling cumulus clouds. The glazes of the whole vase are colorful, gorgeous, and showing distinguished honor.

The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings, Made In The Years of Chenghua Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
