Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Xuande Iron red phoenix pattern porcelain bowl. Potted with flaring upper mouth rim, deep arced body, raised on small ring footed base with slight concave. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the iron red color, depicted of Flying phoenix bird through scrolling tendril, flowers bloom, flaming ruyi and enclosed with interlocking ruyi. The Phoenix Feng-Huang represents exquisiteness, goodness, warmth, prosperity, peace, the Sun, abundant harvests, and reason in government. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.
