Chinese Republic Period, Wangbu Blue and white flower and bird bottle vase. Potted in shape vase, large, thick and tall, ovoid abdomens tapered to round open mouth with flaring mouth lip, raised on a splayed short ring foot base with slight concave. This vase in blue and white fine color, is an excellent object on exterior with magpie bird hanging on the branch tree surrounded by dense leaves. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Yuan Dynasty. Its color does not easily fade and durability is longer. It used cabaltous oxide as the colorant. Patterns were directly painted onto the inner body and burnt after glaze was applied on it. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy.

The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters Artist mark.
