Ornately carved backrest, wide rectangular hard mat and both arms panel carved in reliefs with scrolling dragons and centralized longevity pearl. The whole supported on legs of cabriolle square section on hoofed foot. This Chinese Arhat Day Bed gives a strong and antique impression of luxury. It has distinctive form and elegant ornamentation. It is intact, with exquisite mortise-tenon technique. Huanghuali, or yellow flowering pear wood, Originally know as huali or huali, the color can range from reddish-brown to golden-yellow. The sweet fragrance of huali distinguishes it from the similar appearing but pungent-adored hardwood.
