North America, United States, Massachusetts, ca. early 20th century CE. A lovely tea service set with eight pieces made by Shreve, Crump, & Low, esteemed Bostonian silversmiths. The ninth item is a round sterling silver bowl with an openwork handle made by Lunt silversmiths. The tea service is personalized with an engraved monogram "JCW" on each vessel. Included are two teapots and a coffee pot. One teapot has knobs on the side to suspend it upon the burner stand. A removable wick holder fits into the opening on the base of the burner. A cream pitcher, a sugar pot, and a vessel without a lid complete the set. All are done in a classic Art Deco style with simple and angular lines. The Lunt bowl is a porringer and is engraved with "JENNIFER" on the exterior. Surface scratches and small indentations. Handle on short teapot is slightly loose. Makers marks are clearly stamped on all. Nice areas of age patina that could be polished if so desired.
