Condition
Diamonds:
Avg Color: J-K-L
Avg Clarity: SI
Shape(s): Mine, European, Rose
Count: 76 - 100
Metals:
Gold
Overall Condition: Good
Condition Notes: A fantastic piece of history! The Brazilian Imperial Order of the Rose was founded by Emperor Don Pedro I on October 17, 1829 following his marriage to Amalie von Leuchtenberg, daughter of the former Vice King of Italy. It was said that Don Pedro I said she was "as beautiful as a rose," hence the name of the chivalric order. We like a good romance story. Metal tests 18k, star is blackened gold. Completed by pinstem and C-catch on reverse. Mine and European-cut diamonds range in size from 2 x 2 x 1.35 mm to 4.03 x 3.66 x 2.93 mm. Rose-cut diamonds measure 1.5 - 1.8 x 1.5 mm, numbering 24. Marked Amor E Fidelidade (Love and Faithfulness, in Portuguese)
