A Selection of William Everson: Books, Photographs, and Ephemera.
Lots consists of 24 books and 4 framed photographs. The books are of primary as well as secondary material by and about American poet William Everson; seven of which are signed including 2 (complete) limited editions of The High Embrace signed by Everson, Wiener, and printer P. Reagh, housed in a green linen folio and plexi slipcase; there is also a third copy that contains 4 of the five signed Wiener photos and without the poetic text.The other Everson signed editions in the lot are: Joaquin Miller's True Bear Stories, Yolla Bolly Press, 1985. Limited.; William Everson: Poet from the San Joaquin, Blue Oak Press, 1978.; William Everson: On Writing the Waterbirds and Other Presentations. Metuchen: The Scarecrow Press, 1983.; William Everson: A Descriptive Bibliography 1934-1976, Metuchen: The Scarecrow Press, 1977.; William Everson: A Collection of Books and Manuscripts, Santa Barbara: Joseph the Provider Books, 1987.; William Everson: The Life of Brother Antonius, NY: New Directions, 1988.; William Everson (Western Writers Series # 67) Boisie: BSU, 1985.
Of the framed photographs; two are Leigh Wiener silver prints singed and inscribed by both Wiener and Everson. One is by Harry Redl , signed and dated by him as well as by (Brother Antonius) Everson; along with one other inscribed by Everson. The largest of the photos is 13 1/2 x 10 1/2".
