The hinged cherrywood eye glass case with transfer decoration of the Brooklyn Bridge and inscribed ERNEST GOLDBACHER. to the reverse. Ernest Goldbacher was an optician working in New York City during the second half of the 19th century. (4)

Condition
Each with general marks, wear, scuffs, scratches and small losses. One of the burlwood cases lacking a decoration to its hinged lid and with a glued repair to the lip on its lid.
