This is one of the earliest soda fountain items you will find. Dated on bottom 1871, manufactured by the American Soda Fountain Co. Made in brass, plated in silver, tarnished and some plating worn but in great condition for the age. No dents and complete. Still has the complete 3 cover lids with hinges and tabs. Holds and cools only 3 bottles at a time, in those days that is all that was needed. As soda fountains became bigger with the inventions of Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola, and others, they merged in 1891 with several other manufacturers to become one of the larger suppliers of fountain items. The only other cooler like this we have seen was missing 3 lids. Overall good condition. Comes with 3 vintage blob top sparking water bottles, complete with wire caps. Measures 9.5"T x 10.5"W.
