Window framed under gilt tipped slubbed silk mat, under glass, in gilt wood frame. The page is from "Al-Jathiya," Arabic for "Upon their Knees," the 45th surah of the Qur'an. This is th eonly verse that mentions sharia law. The page is written in three forms of Arabic script: Naskhi, Muhaqqaq and Thuluth. Northwestern Persia or Southwestern Ottoman Empire.
