CHINESE / JAPANESE ENAMELED METAL OPEN SALTS, LOT OF FOUR, each square form with scalloped corners and all-over enameling, comprising two examples featuring figures with one having inscription to one side, one example with a village landscape, and one featuring a dragon to all four sides. Unmarked. 19th/20th century. Dragon example 1 1/8" H, 1 3/4" SQ rim.
Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, a few to several flakes, some with hairlines notably the village scene example.
Published: Example with figures and inscription in Jzyk/Robertson - The Open Salt Compendium, p. 283, pl. 878, middle left.

Condition
