DIAMOND-QUILT MOTHER-OF-PEARL SATIN GLASS KEROSENE PARLOR LAMP, unusual rich blue with rose air-traps and rim, globular font vase with floral scrolling gold-enamel decoration, matching shade with a tooled rim, brass connector and cast-metal foot, brass collar. Fitted with a brass drop-in font with period collar and period No. 2 "THE SOLAR" slip burner. Maker unverified. Fourth quarter 19th century. 14 3/4" H to top of shade, 8 3/4" H to top of font collar, 5 1/4" SQ base. Shade: 5 1/2" H, 4" D fitter.
Nearly undamaged with a couple of splits to the base collar, brass shoulder ring with small dent. Shade having a few minute nicks to the fitter, as made.
