Description
Built for the Concours in Paris France, the Gasparini is a relatively small organ with 100 pipes and a manual register which operates the clarinet pipes. The organ plays off cardboard books in a pressure operated key system and has been electrified. This 52-key organ entertained children on a children's carousel and was owned by a carnival purveyor from the country of France for many years, until it was acquired by the current owner and meticulously maintained for the last dozen years. The Gasparinin has a light airy tone as it does not have large base pipes, as the base section is only 7 trombones. With a very sweet, easy-to-listen-to sound, this size carousel organ is perfect for home ownership. This example is in impeccable condition, plays beautifully and comes with 5 cardboard books with 250 meters of spectacular music. Circa 1900. You can view the video of this instrument playing on our website. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Excellent). Dimensions: 87" x 80 - 1/2" x 52".
