Swiss gold and enamel openface watch, Pierre Viala, Geneva, circa 1790, having Verge movement, white enamel dial, paste-set bands, the back enameled with a portrait of a woman flanked by cornucopia, on a blue enamel ground, and set with pastes, the bezel also set with pastes. Provenance: Sotheby Parke Bernet, New York, 10/5/77 sale, lot 107. [2 1/2" Diam.]. Enamel and paint in good condition; winding key not present; several smaller and larger stones missing.
