The Low Pressure Steamboat "Isaac Newton." Passing the Palisades on the Hudson River New York, 1855. (G. 4148). Large format lithograph with hand-coloring heightened in gum arabic, on wove paper, matted and framed, 504 x 786 mm sheet. Some minor chipping or tears with small losses to corners and upper margin, a few short tears along top margin including one just entering image, some overall toning, some staining verso from old framing. VERY RARE: According to online records, no example of this print has sold at auction in over 70 years.
