A-10 The following offering of original Adolf Hitler library books was obtained by an American Major in Berlin, in May 1945. Heading the 713th MP Battalion, he and his French counterpart, Capt. V. Ziegelmeyer, had access to the Reichs Chancellory and were able to acquire books with Adolf Hitler bookplates, stationery and other material. Letterheads, from Capt. Ziegelmeyer's estate were offered in Mohawk Arms Auction Catalog No. 38 on February 21, 1998 and books with "Adolf Hitler" bookplates were recently sold in Auction 61 on June 19-20, 2009, in auction 62 on November 20-21, 2009, Auction 63 on June 4-5, 2010 and Auction 64 on November 19-20, 2010. Each book will include a Xerox copy of a penciled notation which the Major wrote for his aide: "JAKE SEND TO MOLLY THAT ALL IS FINE IN BERLIN. WILL SEND BOOKS FROM HITLER'S BUILDING AND PAPERS…AMERICAN LT. SHOT BY OUR GUARDS TRYING TO STEAL CIGARETTES FROM THE OFF. CLUB…" "HERMAN GORING WERK UND MENSCH". Published 1942. Forty-eight interesting photo pages and text of Goring, parades, Hitler, etc. Blue spine with gold embossed German eagle, Luftwaffe eagle, Police eagle and Hunting Association emblems. With a sepia toned "ADOLF HITLER", "EX LIBRIS" bookplate, with an early type Political eagle/swastika/oak leaves on inside cover. Penciled notations on pages 16, 33, 39, 161, 193, 201 and 224. II
