This continental large size oil painting on canvas is set in an antique giltwood frame. The scene is placed in open meadow pastures and depicts a quiet Scottish scene with several bulls and cows, one of whom seems to be staring at the viewer. There is a lot of grace and delicacy in the treatment of the scene. The exquisite giltwood frame is made of intricate acanthus leaves and floral motifs, enhancing the delicacy of the ensemble. With Signature and Title central plaque "William Young" "Highland Rovers". Signed and dated lower bottom right.
