DESCRIPTION: Ayutthaya Gold Gilt bronze crowned Buddha. Standing with his right hand in abhaya mudra, the left hand hanging down, a crown on his head and a collier to his breast from which hangs a pendant. Mounted on a stepped base in Ratanakosin style. (Ref. C02).
CIRCA: 18th Century, possibly older.
ORIGIN: Thailand.
PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Peggy Slappey a known collector with exhibits at Birmingham Museum of Art.
