Description
Excellent and Estate-Fresh Glass Photo Negative Archive from a New Haven Area Family. Includes over 300 well taken glass plate negatives each 5" x 7" Many are identified, or identifiable as locations in Madison CT, Lyme CT, and other Connecticut Shore towns. Dates appear to be in the later 19-teens to early 1920's. This is a remarkable time capsule lot featuring a few surprises including a flying biplane, some early Auto racing, Farm scenes, Town Hall, Interiors, Beach Scenes, Carriages, prize horses, Maine St. Fishing life, boats, Sailing, Churches, Historic Homes, Islands, WWI Soldiers with weapons and horses, Early Mens and Womens Basketball teams, Hotels, the Lyme Railroad Station, Classroom views, and some portraits. The scope and quality is exceptional. The photographer is unknown, but these are the Bushnell estate of New Haven CT. Condition varies with some having surface loss, and corner chips, but very few plates are cracked or damaged. Someone took the time to preserve these well, and already started the identification.
