(Disneyland, 1955) This full-color 20-page newspaper supplement was originally published by the Los Angeles Times on July 15, 1955, two days before the grand opening of Disneyland. The Monsanto Chemical Company ordered an additional run from the publisher and sent them to VIPs and business contacts nationwide to promote their contributions to the hot new vacation destination. Much rarer than the version included in the newspaper, this undated edition of the supplement includes a letter from Monsanto on a half-page overleaf. Measuring 13.25"x11", the piece is in very good condition with some minor edge wear and a horizontal fold and staple mark as originally offered.
