(Walt Disney World, c.2000s) A park-used sign from above the entrance to the Main Street Emporium in the Magic Kingdom. The turn-of-the-century themed department store was a Walt Disney World opening day attraction and has expanded to become the largest gift and souvenir shop in the park. The metal sign has a circular brushed gold-tone surface that is coated in burgundy enamel, leaving negative space forming the "Emporium" lettering with the metallic surface showing through. Green and gold painted details and "Main Street, U.S.A." lettering are added below. The front of the sign was treated with a clear protective coating to prevent deterioration and weathering. Measuring 14.25"x77", the piece is in good condition with moderate surface scratching and scuffs to the protective coating, which has not damaged the underlying sign. The piece is presented on a sheet of beige canvass with metal floral ornaments in the corners within a 21"x85"gold-painted ornate molded wood frame.
