Description
French artist France Hilon's ghostly style of work is emotive. Three prints: 1) 21/150, a horse in moonlight, 22" x 18", linen matted and framed, 28" x 25". 2) 21/150, two horses in strong light, 18" x 20", linen matted and framed 28" x 29". 3) 40/150, three horses in misty background, leafless trees in foreground, 18" x 20", linen matted and framed 25" x 26". All are signed F. Hilon lower right and numbered in pencil in lower left. France Hilon (Andr[x=#233/] Bongibault), was born in 1942. He developed an early interest in etching while studying at the 'Peintres Graveurs' in Paris where he found his unique and highly individual style was well suited to the intaglio medium. The stimulus for his imagery comes from the landscapes and seascapes of Europe and the Far East where he traveled frequently. Date: Country (if not USA): FranceState: City: Provenance:
