Title: Clean Mountains & Rivers, Colton 1890

Description: Vintage double-page pictorial map of comparative sizes of the world’s mountains and rivers in most likely the last edition of Colton’s General Atlas. Nicely hand colored, this is an impressive design that illustrates every sizeable mountain peak and river in the world and how it compares to others. On the reverse are two complete tables of information. One is a listing of peaks showing their Names, Heights, the Mountain Ranges and Country where located. The other is a listing of Rivers, Source or Headwaters, Country where located, what Waters it Falls into and Length. A few small edge chips have been repaired, as well as a few short edge tears. These repairs were done using Kozo (mulberry papers) that are reversible and are known to last a thousand years. A lovely item and an incredibly well-preserved specimen. 17 x 26.75.
