In overall good appearance, finely carved low relief to cover depicting Neoclassical imagery with a few minor flakes along horizontal plinth just under feet of carved putti figures, fine scratches to interior rim of lid as is expected with use otherwise no pushes observed, hinge is intact and in working order, attractive russet color to hardstone and free of any chips or repairs.
