Description
Kenneth Francis Bates (American 1904-1994) "Peacock Box," 1930, enamel over gold leaf, signed and dated '30 to the base, the four sided tapering form decorated with peacock feathers in green, gold, aubergine, pale blue and yellow, the slightly domed top with knopped brass and enamel finial.
Dimensions: 4 x 3.5 x 3.5 in.
Condition: Very good original condition with some very minor crazing.
Provenance: Purchased from the Cleveland Museum of Art May Show, 1930.
