Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Jiajing wucai phoenix porcelain double gourds bottle. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, short cylindrical neck, straight open mouth, raised on slightly short splayed foot base and slightly concave. ​The exterior decorated by applying of wucai design color, a variety of five-colored pigments creates bold opaque hand-painting of Flying Phoenix and cranes through scrolling ruyi clouds, vapors and interlocking tendril. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.

The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years Jiajing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
