Description
Possibly Lancaster, 4th quarter-18th century, walnut. Applied molding to top and base, four dovetailed graduated drawers with replaced pulls, and ogee bracket feet. Fluted quarter columns. Square nails on back boards, several replaced nails. Old refinishing. Some surface wear and age splits. 40"h. 38.75"w. 20.75"w. From the collection of the late Chris Powell and Christine Powell, Zoar, Ohio; ex David R. Geiger Antiques (Pennsylvania).
Condition
Single board top and sides. Long age splits in top and left facing sides and splits around knot in top. Overall surface scratches, some nicks on edges, one flake on drawer. A few dark stains on top. Locks removed from bottom three drawers and divider removed from top drawer. Replaced glue blocks on underside and replaced back support back left foot.
