Size 6/3.With inside stamp.Provenance: Elvira Clara Cirera Bonet Collection.Measures: 40 cm (length).Belonging to Vivien Leigh, this pair of gloves has been made in brown suede and has seams edged in cream color. This is a pair of Fownes Brothers and Co gloves, a firm established in 1777 by John and Thomas Fownes in the English city of Worcester, a prosperous and prestigious glove trading center. Fownes Brothers entered the U.S. market in 1887 with a sales office in New York City, a studio that remains to this day and has become the global headquarters for sales, marketing and design.Vivien Leigh was a powerful fashion icon in front of and behind the cameras. Her impeccable style, totally studied and cosmopolitan, evidenced her academic training in international schools in countries such as France, Italy, Austria or England. Her taste for culture led her to be a completely versatile person, capable of performing in all the arts: from music (she played the piano, violin and cello), to the stage (she studied ballet and regularly attended the theater).
