10 Civil War General CDV's, Inc. Grant and Jackson

A superb set of 10 Carte de Visites of Civil War Generals including Ulysses S. Grant, and Stonewall Jackson. Each about 2.5" x 4", all in near fine condition with typical handling marks. Please see images for more details. The full list is below:

Ulysses S. Grant:

Ulysses S. Grant was an American military leader who served as the 18th president of the United States from 1869 to 1877. As president, Grant was an effective civil rights executive who created the Justice Department and worked with the Radical Republicans during Reconstruction to protect African Americans.

Stonewall Jackson:

A skilled military tactician, Stonewall Jackson served as a Confederate general under Robert E. Lee in the American Civil War, leading troops at Manassas, Antietam and Fredericksburg. Jackson lost an arm and died after he was accidentally shot by Confederate troops at the Battle of Chancellorsville

Franz Sigel:

Franz Sigel was a German American military officer, revolutionist and immigrant to the United States who was a teacher, newspaperman, politician, and served as a Union major general in the American Civil War. His ability to recruit German-speaking immigrants to the Union armies received the approval of President Abraham Lincoln, but he was strongly disliked by General-in-Chief Henry Halleck.

John Bankhead Magruder:

John Bankhead Magruder was an American and Confederate military officer. A graduate of West Point, Magruder served with distinction during the Mexican–American War and was a prominent Confederate Army general during the American Civil War.

Albert Sidney Johnston:

Albert Sidney Johnston served as a general in three different armies: the Texian Army, the United States Army, and the Confederate States.

Ambrose Everett Burnside:

Ambrose Everett Burnside was an American soldier, railroad executive, inventor, industrialist, and politician from Rhode Island. He served as the Governor of Rhode Island from 1866 to 1869, and as a United States Senator for Rhode Island from 1875 until his death.

George Brinton McClellan:

George Brinton McClellan is often remembered as the great organizer of the Union Army of the Potomac. Nicknamed "Young Napoleon," "Little Mac" was immensely popular with the men who served under his command. His military command style, however, put him at odds with President Abraham Lincoln, and would ultimately upset his military and political fortunes.

William Starke Rosecrans:

William Starke Rosecrans was an American inventor, coal-oil company executive, diplomat, politician, and U.S. Army officer. He gained fame for his role as a Union general during the American Civil War.

Joseph Hooker:

Joseph Hooker was an American Civil War general for the Union, chiefly remembered for his decisive defeat by Confederate General Robert E. Lee at the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863
