Stunning Ancient Byzantine Cross,(at least 22K Yellow Gold) with Emeralds, Garnet and Tiny Seed Pearls. Wonderful ancient Byzantine cross in beautiful condition and a supremely striking wearable piece. Pendant has 5 rectangular emeralds centered with a garnet cabochon that has fine polish to it. Seed pearls are strung on gold wire then affixed around all edges with only a very few missing. A sturdy bail is of a size that can accommodate a large chain. Pendant is 2¼ x 2" and weighs 18.16 grams. Excellent condition and very scarce.
