Large Taxco Silver Cross Pendant by Legendary Maestro Rafael Dominguez (1911 - 1980), Crafted in the Etruscan style, it is hallmarked ''Hecho en Mexico Cuernavaca'' in a circle with ''R.D.'' and ''0.925'' inside the circle and ''Eagle 18'' assay mark. ''Rafael Dominguez married Juana who was another Maestro Silversmith and together they owned Casa Dominguez Silver and Arts Studio. Rafael was exclusively issued the Eagle 108 assay mark and Rafael was also issued Eagle 12 and Eagle 17 assay marks. Rafael is one of the few early artists known to have apprenticed under the Master Craftsman William Spratling (''The Father of Mexican Silver'') during Spratling's years in Taxco, Mexico.
