Venetian Rococo Style Black-Japanned and Parcel-Gilt Chinoiserie-Decorated Bureau Bookcase
In two parts, the upper section with a scrolled pediment with an inset shaped mirror panel above a pair of doors opening to an interior fitted for shelves over candle slides, the lower section with slant front and an interior fitted with pigeonholes and small drawers, over three long drawers flanked by tapering canted corners, raised on shaped feet. Height 81 1/2 inches (207 cm), width 39 inches (99 cm), depth 23 inches (58.4 cm)..
