correction on this piece and provenance info added: this hanging corner cupboard came from Tennessee and the painted eagle is a Tennessee Eagle. The cupboard was purchased from Dr. Mervyn King who lives in Martinsville, VA. The cupboard was bought from Mr. King in the year 2000 and Dr. King purchased it from out of a Tennessee Collection. Dr. King is a renowned folk art collector and at one time was one of the biggest collectors. rare folk art painted hanging corner cupboard with great surface and fantastic original paint decoration. Eagle, stars, and snakes. 29" x 37" x 20"cupboard and paint ca. 1840 to 1860. The Paint is old and excellent.
