An important and detailed early map of the Great Lakes region, shows modern Pennsylvania with Iroquois nation, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and further west with large part of middle Canada with Algonquin nation shown as well. Important rivers are shown and in the west the Sioux nation. 1780, cartographer Rigobert Bonne one of the most important and highly regarded map makers of the late 18th century. Published in 'Atlas de Tourtes les Parties Connues du Globe Terrestre, Dresse pour l'Histoire Philosphique & Politique des Établissements & du Commerce des Européens dan les Deux Indes', by G. T. Raynal. A French historian and writer during the enlightenment. Published by J. L. Peelet Geneva. Foxing stain on lower right does not effect main map. See picture. Otherwise in excellent condition.
