Rare amulet of repousse silver in the form of a pendant. The amulet has a suspension ring in the shape of a ribbonwork bow. The front and back are decorated with foliage, the heart is inscribed Shaddai along with tablets of the law. There is a drawer to hold an amulet which is on paper or parchment and is intended to protect a child. It is made in Italy and is tested solid silver. These amulets are museum pieces since the majority of them were destroyed during the second world war. The item is in exceptional condition. It measures 5 1/2 inches long x 4 inches wide x 1 inch thick.
